Dr . Elizabeth Self Burckardt

Dr . Burckardt is an Otolaryngologist , who specializes in surgical and medical management of voice , airway , and swallowing disorders . She is from Louisville and completed a fellowship in Laryngeal Surgery through Harvard Medical School at Massachusetts General Hospital . She can perform rigid or flexible stroboscopy for all patients with voice concerns , the gold standard in laryngologic diagnostic care . She is one of the first in the region to use cutting edge KTP laser ablation to treat early vocal cord cancers . Dr . Burckardt also offers office procedures for vocal cord paralysis , recurrent respiratory papillomatosis , and vocal cord dysplasia . Her scope of practice includes treatment of laryngeal cancer , vocal fold immobility , airway stenosis , phonotraumatic lesions , neurologic voice disorders , and comprehensive care of the voice .
