DR . WHO but now trains hospitals on advanced cardiovascular life support and dispatch life support for a company called HealthStream .
With so many developments in technology within his field , Dr . Sutton wants to make sure that choosing the right version , the best “ tech fit ,” is a major focus of their practice moving forward . He said he would also like to get back to his roots and look more into research and teaching . “ I ’ m a bit biased , but I think you ’ re going to see neuromodulation come a lot more to the forefront . I think there ’ s a lot more interest within the anesthesiology profession about pain medicine fellowships , so I ’ d love the opportunity to work with students at all levels ,” he said . “ Starting a practice is no small feat , but we ’ d like to be able to do that in the future . I also want to be able to be a part of the research going on to help develop tools and techniques to help these patients .”
Dr . Sutton says that while he and his partner are in early talks of a second location for their practice , they want to make sure that they scale at the right pace , reminding themselves that the reason they founded their practice was to provide expert patient care .
“ Our primary goal is to create a practice that is a wonderful resource not only for the community , but also for the providers that have a lot of questions and need a resource that is scarce . We hear all the time that it ’ s taking months before providers can get a patient a referral appointment . It ’ s all about promptness of care in this field . We always want to have efficient , effective , evidence-based medicine .” Kathryn Vance is the Communication Specialist at the Greater Louisville Medical Society .
