Four times a year , when we ’ re putting together the magazine ... wait a minute . That ’ s not true , because every time I scroll through Facebook , and see photos that catch my eye , I picture it being on the cover . So , back to what I was saying ... four times a year , we look through dozens of photos and try to decide what will capture the eye of our readers .
The photo we selected for this issue was actually one that was a runner-up from our May 2021 cover contest . We keep all of the photos that are submitted to us on file - just in case . We may use them in , or on , an upcoming issue , on our website or FB / Instagram page , or even an ADBA advertisement . You never know where your photo may turn up !
Speaking of that , make sure to get your cameras / phones out and get those pictures taken ! The May 2022 Cover Contest will be starting soon . I ’ m thinking throughout the month of March , so you ’ ll want to make sure to get your submission ( s ) in . There is no limit to the number of photos you send BUT the dog must be ADBA registered ( preferably in the current owner ’ s name ), and you ’ ll need to include the dog ’ s registered name and number when you submit each photo . In the memo section of your email , list MAY 2022 ADBA Gazette Cover contest and , if you want to get a head start , email them to heather @ adbadog . com
