Moon Knight One of the first things about Moon Knight is that he is like the Batman of the Marvel universe. Both have troubled backgrounds, both went through death of a parent(s) and both used their wealth to become vigilante-type superheroes. With an interesting back story on how he was resurrected in front of an eygptian god, to his multiple personas it would make for not only an interesting storyline, but multiple plot angles can come from him and it all makes sense. Now, yes, he does suffer from dissociative identity disorder, but I think that element of crazy helps make a good storyline and plot twist. On top of that, think of the cool high tech gadgets they could come up with to rival Mr. Batman himself! As he is also known to work alongside heroes like Spiderman, it will give the Marvel universe plenty of options to keep us fans interested for movies to come. ICON Not many people know of Icon but he is one cool character that can rival Superman himself. In fact, they have similar stories. Both crash landed on earth from birth, and both were discovered by humans and then brought up to live relatively “normal” lives. What is cool about Icon is that he was created by African Americans who wrote under what was then called Milestone Comics. I shouldn’t have to say this, but we really do need more African American superheroes so if Marvel Comics gets Black Panther, let us DC fans have Icon! Now the Icon comic series starts off in 1839 and begins with Icon being found by a slave in a cotton field in the middle of the American south. Though he was brought up in slavery, he then discovers he has powers and helped in the resistance movement in the underground railroad. I for one would love to see a movie that is about a comic book superhero who starts off like this because it shows that even though he was not from earth, and looks like a black man, he was able to achieve great things in his life even later going through college. (He has slow aging in case you are wondering how that is possible). All in all, he has superhuman strength, healing, speed, can move from place to place within a blank of an eye and has special energy that gives him extra badass abilities. This has Blockbuster written ALL over it. Big Barda Making her first appearance in Mr. Miracle Vol 1 Issue #4, she is set to have powers equal to Wonder Woman. She is a woman of power that is 7 feet tall and is part of a race called New Gods and has superhuman powers such as immortality, mental and physical abilities, and she has the same strength levels as superman. And on top of that, she is beautiful. Did I mention she can teleport and fly? In the male dominated comic universe, I think it is about time we add a few more women of strength and beauty to the mix. Now she isn’t all good. She joins the good side at the beginning. She makes a turn to the dark side and becomes part of The Furry. I think this storyline would make a great set of movie sequels with a great plot twist ending! Though there are many other heroes and sidekicks out there that deserve to shine I think these 4 would make a very good start. Let’s cross our fingers that the comic universe will grant us at least one of them! 39
