Those who know Dr. Ganter describe her as a doctor with a servant
heart and a natural gift for compassionate communication
when interacting with patients. She and Dr. McNeill made the
decision to work together after a shared mission trip experience
caring for patients in a dental clinic in Guatemala. “In the clinic,
I found the team experience to be really satisfying. I learned that
I am at my best working in concert with other professionals who
share the same goals and philosophy of care.”
When they met, the two doctors agreed that they prefer collaborating
with colleagues rather than competing with them.
“I knew I wanted to be part of a practice where I could build a
fulfilling, intentional professional life,” notes Dr. Ganter. “It all
works because we have the same priorities ― we want to focus
on doing what we do best and make decisions based on what’s
best for each of our patients.”
Dr. Ganter provides advice on the placement of dental implants,
as well as inflammation or recession of gums. The office is
equipped for both specialists and designed for optimal comfort,
efficiency, and patient flow. “Oral surgeons and periodontists
are trained differently, so we each have our own unique perspectives
when we consider a case. We interact on most cases,
and because we know each other so well, we can have honest,
open conversations about the care plan. Overall, the collaborative
approach is a definite advantage for patients, who are getting
the expertise of two doctors for the price of one.”

It’s been a tremendous support system for me and has really
allowed me to find my rhythm again.”
Now that patients are gradually returning for dental care,
Dr. Ganter can see how the relationships she has built with
them contribute to a successful reopening. “It’s wonderful to see
that our patients place their trust in us and feel confident coming
back to the office.”
Dr. Ganter is a recent Baylor graduate, and when COVID-19
emerged, she was still a relatively new doctor. “I was just finding
