EWS was brought to Second Life by Nikki Arentire and Susan Rogan on Sunday November 6, 2011 at 1pm SLT. . a quote from Nikki on what about the movie led her to wanting to bring it into SL:" Nikki Arentire: well it goes back to Kubricks original artwork. Somehow, like in all of his films, he reaches deep into the human psyche. The story deals with themes of being left out, or included. Which is generally speaking a deep rooted and very human fear. And to throw a bit of Freud into that - sexuality and dreams are the highways of our unconscious. This is where it all ties together. By participating, with the symbolic masks we deal with those subjects."
A bit later Nikki and Koda Rae met; he added the correct scripts to the pose balls and the circle continued. After Nikki moved on to other activities mid 2012 Koda continued doing rituals until late 2014.
TODAY
On July 18th Webweasel (Owner) and Starre (mistress of the chateau) opened the doors of EWS Ltd with a masked ball. At that point there were no other active EWS kissing rituals active in Second Life. We, at this time, are performing 2 rituals per month, the first Friday evening and Sunday noon of the month. During the rest of the month EWS Ltd offers activities to its members, dances, games.
Our objective was to create a classy but comfortable non-drama place to come to, to be able to enjoy the facilities whenever they want, to be able to partake or watch the ritual, meet other people, enjoy the banter at the parties.
