Twenty - Third Sunday in Ordinary Time
Views From The Pews
John Ryals writes, “I want you to know
how much the Central community
appreciates your help. Your people
served over 1,000 meals to hungry,
exhausted and devastated folks who
needed a kind smile and reassuring compassion. They
also helped clear a few homes. Please let the men and
women who donated their resources, time and kindness to
the Central community know that their charity and love
are deeply appreciated.”
“On behalf of the VOL Men’s Club and the
other volunteers who took Christ’s demand to serve and
not be served to St. Alphonsus Parish in the Central
community on Sunday, August 21, you are very
welcome. It is always a mind blowing joy to be Jesus’
hands and feet to the needy.”

and sausage.
Almost 50 Men’s Club and VOL
Parishioners served some wonderful people who are
down but certainly not at all out. We all felt great doing
it.”
