On the anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, Archbishop Greg Aymond was quoted in a national magazine, Our Sunday Visitor, as saying, “W here was God in the midst of Katrina? He was walking in the floodwaters, carrying people.” Father Mike Annulment Writing Workshop Family Life Apostolate will offer a writing workshop for persons seeking an annulment in the Catholic Church or for persons responding to an annulment. The workshop will be held at St. Clement of Rome’s Parish Center in Metairie. The series will be for three (3) Saturdays, October 24, October 31 and November 7, 2015. Hours are 8:30am until Noon. Confirmation Class The deadline to register for the Session I Confirmation class has been extended to Wednesday, September 30th. Session I Confirmation classes will be held on Saturday, October 10th AND Saturday, October 17th from 9am until 12pm in the VOL School. Please note: Registr ations WILL NOT be taken at class. If you do not live in the Visitation of Our Lady Church boundaries and are not a “registered” parishioner of VOL you must contact the Religion Office at 341-8477 for information regarding confirmation. 40 Days for Life As the 40 Days for Life New Orleans Campaign continues, let us be reminded that our parish has adopted a day, Tuesday, October 13, 2015, to keep vigil outside of the abortion facility, Causeway Medical Clinic, at 3044 Ridgelake Drive in Metairie. We invite you to come out with us on this day to the site and keep a prayerful vigil. Please contact Anna A.
