Did You Know?
Diane writes, “Our grounds are beautiful.
I haven’t seen all the churches but ours
has the prettiest grounds of any I have
seen. It makes me feel good when I come
to church.”
“Thanks. Beautiful landscaping makes me think of
God. So, I try to keep our campus looking good. After
all, I live here. I see our grounds every day and, because
of them, I see God every day.”
Anonymous writes, “I bet you thought you were rid of me.
Well, you are wrong. Whenever our collections worry
me, I will continue to bug you. Our collections are in
miserable shape. What are you going to do about it?”
“As always, I will ask God for help. When I do that it
all seems to work out okay at the end of the fiscal year. I
trust in God and all of our parishioners, including YOU.
Dig deep!”

According to a national poll, sixty-nine percent of
Americans say they believe in the devil as a symbol, not as
a living being. The number is even higher among
Catholics. Eighty-three percent of Catholics believe in the
devil as only a symbol of evil.

If you could save a life from the destruction of
abortion, would you?
If your answer is yes, then we ask that you join us in this
year’s 40 Days for Life Campaign. 40 Days for Life is an
effective international outreach that consists of 40 days of
prayer and fasting for the end to abortion. This year’s
campaign is from September 27 to November 5. We will
recite the 40 Days for Life Prayer at the end of each mass
beginning on September 27. There will be 40 Days for Life
prayer cards available in the vestibule for those who wish to
pray the prayer daily in unity with other members of our
community. For more information on the 40 Days for Life
Campaign contact Cathy Gunn, Respect Life Coordinator, at
