September 13, 2015 24th Sunday in Ordinary Time Views From The Pews Anonymous #1 writes, “The pope says we should help all those refugees in Europe. How can we help?” “Pope Francis was speaking specifically to European Catholics. He recommends each parish, religious community, monastery and sanctuary in Europe shelter at least one refugee family. If you have a recommendation on how we at VOL might help, please get in touch with me.” Anonymous #2 writes, “I have a lung problem and can only walk short distances. Recently, I ran out of breath coming back from the restroom in church. When this happens I need to sit immediately. Please put some chairs in the lobby of church.” “Thanks for the suggestion. We will.” Cassie writes, “I loved the young priest’s homily to the kids. I don’t exactly remember what he said but his personality is great. He connects with children. He is filled with spirit.” “The ‘young priest’ is not yet a priest. He is a transitional deacon, Dc. Paul Clark. He is scheduled to be ordained a priest next June. On behalf of Dc. Paul, thanks for the compliments. I echo what you say.” Deana says, “I loved your homily on our needing to be astonished about all God gives us. I have a recommendation. Can you put it on the church Facebook? It would be good for others to hear what you said.” “I will put a synopsis of it on Facebook. Thanks for the suggestion and for the compliment.” Father Mike Eucharistic Adoration Christ suffer ed and died for YOU. His love for you is unfathomable. It’s time to take time for Him.
