Did You Know?
Chris says, “I loved the ice cream social
after the seven o’clock Mass. It was a
delicious way to start my week. Thank
you.”
“Thanks belong to our Hospitality Ministry.
Its members work hard to give us party after party.”
Augie writes, “I think it is too early to be selling raffle
tickets for Cajun Fest. It’s like we give to that thing all
year long.”
“We have a large group of people who work on
Cajun Fest all year long, and I am very grateful for
them. Their hard work results in our being able to pay
close to half of our $30,000 a month mortgage on Padre
Hall II. I hope you can help whenever Cajun Fest asks,
but I understand if you cannot.”

40 DAYS FOR LIFE
Please continue to pray and fast
until November 6th, during this 40
Days for Life Campaign. Thanks
to everyone in the parish who was able to come out on
Wednesday, keeping a prayer vigil in front of the abortion
facility in Metairie. Your involvement in this pro-life
cause is greatly appreciated.

Respect Life Coordinator, at (504) 874-6892 .
Eucharistic Adoration Thursday, October 27th
When parishioners ask me what they can do to help
make the world a better place in which to live, I frequently
quote St. Teresa of Calcutta. When asked that question,
Mother Teresa would say, “Go home and love your
family.”

2017 Mass Book Opens
The 2017 Mass Intention Book will open Friday, October 28th at 9 a.m. Mass Intentions will be taken in the Church
Meeting Room, not in the Pastoral Center. Specific date requests will be handled on a first come, first served basis. In an
attempt to be fair to everyone, you may only request one recurring single intention mass per month. (For example, you may
not chose two Noon masses in the same month).
If you are requesting several Mass Intentions, please have a list of dates prepared before coming to the Church Meeting
Room. The stipend for each Mass is $5.00 (per date), as set by the Archdiocese.
MASS INTENTIONS WILL NOT BE TAKEN OVER THE PHONE ON THIS DAY.
