October 15, 2017 Twenty-Eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time Views From The Pews Father Paul Hart, our Mission Director this year, addressed our student body the morning of the first day of the Mission. A bunch of students talked with me after his talk. Here are two of those comments. I believe they capture best what everyone said. Student #1 said, “He was awesome. He made me feel good about myself and about God. I wish all priests were like him.” Student #2 said, “I loved him. He was cool. I loved what he said and he made me laugh a lot. His cheer was good too.” “I’m thrilled you got a lot out of his talk. Father Paul has been a friend of mine for many years and I’m glad you enjoyed being with him as much as I do.” Father Mike 2 Did You Know? The percentage of Americans who say racism is a big problem more than doubled between 2009 and this year. In 2009, 26% of Americans said racism is a big problem.
