Did You Know?
Views From The Pews
Our parish mission was a big success. We
have many compliments. Here are two of
them.
Belgium has identified the Amish, Hasidic Jews and
Quakers as “dangerous cults.”
Fr. Mike
Anonymous writes, “This was one of the best missions
that Visitation ever had. Ms. Jansen’s speaking was
riveting, her vocals amazing, and her storytelling brought
the Scriptures to life. It was uplifting. I felt closer to God
than I have in a long time. I could have listened to her for
3 more days.”
Tom says, “She is like a very spiritual one-woman
Broadway show.”
“Everyone agrees.
ValLimar Jansen was
terrific. She lifted our hearts to God.”
Anonymous writes. “Why don’t we have a group
confession? I’m scared to go alone, but I would go if I
was part of a large group. I am told parishes do that from
time to time.”
“Group confessions are allowed only in
extraordinary circumstances, such as a group of soldiers
going to war. Otherwise, the Church requires us to
confess individually. Don’t be afraid. It is highly
unlikely you have anything confess that I have not heard
before, and I always try to show penitents God’s love.
So, I do my best to be gentle. If you have the courage to
confess, I do my best to channel God’s love and
forgiveness.”
Fr. Mike
