Did You Know?
Anonymous sends us a newspaper
clipping with the headline, “Lift Your
Hearts, Not Your Cellphones.” The story
says Pope Francis calls on Catholics to
put down their cell phones during worship. Pope Francis
says Mass and other liturgies should be times to listen to
and talk to only God. Pope Francis also said, “When the
priest says during Mass, ‘Life up your hearts,’ He is not
saying ‘Life up your cellphones.”

Substance Abuse Ministry Meeting
The next SAM meeting will be held
Tuesday, November 28th upstairs in the
Pastoral Center beginning at 7 p.m.
The Substance Abuse Ministry (SAM)
offers a safe, confidential place for people
touched by addiction to share their personal experiences
with others. SAM provides general educational information
about addiction through professionals in this field and is
open to people of all faiths. The ministry is open to both
those afflicted with or affected by substance addiction. For
more info contact Deacon Jerry Labadot at 495-5820.
Actor Mark Wahlberg says, “I start every day by
getting on my hands and knees and starting a time of
prayer and reading Scripture. Then I feel like I can go
out there and conquer the world.”
