VOL will place in the last bulletin of the month the
names of our active duty soldiers so that we can pray for
them. By name! Daily! Please contact our Parish Secretary,
Kelli Bourgeois at 347-2203 or email [email protected],
with the names of your active duty loved ones. Let us show
our love for them with our prayers.

Youth in grades 5 – 7 are invited to attend meetings the
second Saturday of each month in the youth room.
Meetings start at 6:30 p.m. and end at 8 p.m.
VOL Cajun Cookbook
VOL I & II
It’s been TWENTY YEARS since
VOL published its first Cajun Cookbook,
and it is still being used in many homes today. Recipes from
former teachers, parents and parishioners have become
valuable to many cooks, especially around the holidays.
If you don’t have a copy, don’t worry!
You can now purchase Volume I AND our
brand-new VOL Cajun Cookbook Volume II,
just in time for the holidays!

Order forms are available in the literature rack
in the foyer of church.
Make checks payable to: VOL Cajun Fest.
Drop off order to the VOL School office, the Pastoral
Center, or place in the collection basket. If you have any

Members of the Cajun Fest committee will be selling
books after all Masses December 16th & 17th.

meetings the 4th Saturday of every month in the youth
room. Meetings start at 6:30 p.m. and end at 8 p.m.
Safe Environment Training at VOL
Visitation of Our Lady Parish offers Safe Environment
Training on the 2nd Saturday of every month at 9 a.m. in the
Church. There is no fee to attend.
The Safe Environment process is used across the
Archdiocese of New Orleans as a means of protecting
individuals of all ages from abuse of any kind. All
employees and volunteers with ongoing contact with
minors need to complete all parts of the Safe Environment
process.
The Safe Environment class and background check must
be renewed every three years.

The VOL Food Pantry needs your help!!!
Each year the VOL St. Vincent de Paul Society gives
away over 120 Thanksgiving & Christmas baskets to those
in need. But we couldn’t do it without the continued
support of our parishioners. So once again, we need your
help!
Items Most Needed:
Stuffing Mix, Candied Yams, Cranberry Sauce, Sweet Peas,
Macaroni & Cheese, Instant Potatoes, 1 lb. bag Rice, Cake
Mix, and Frosting
