Five people left notes about the Boy
Scouts’ Spaghetti and Meatball fund raiser
two weeks ago. Here is one of them.
Alicia writes, “It was really good. The
sauce and the meatballs were delicious. What a nice way
for us to help out.”
“You are right, Alicia. We got to help the Boy
Scouts raise some money and we got to eat a delicious
meal.”
Anonymous writes, “I miss you at the Children’s Mass.
Where have you been?”
“I last celebrated the Noon Mass on October 19.
I did a Baptism for family friends at Holy Name of Jesus
on October 26. I celebrated the 8am and 7pm Masses on
November 2, and last week I was in Lacombe conducting
a retreat for engaged couples. We priests stay busy.”

Did you know that there is only one
more Sunday before Advent starts? Many of us are
starting to think about Christmas and what to get for
our loved ones. This is a good thing to show love to
our family and friends, a very good thing. Yet, don’t
forget to make plans for Advent. How will your family
prepare for the coming of Christ? How will you slow
down your life to evaluate your relationship? How do
you want to make Christ more present in the world?
Don’t wait until we are in Advent to start making
plans. It will fly by before you even realize it is here.
God bless.
