The Most Holy Trinity

Did You Know?
The Alexie Family writes, “Mr. Knighten
is such a blessing. Aside from having a
lovely voice and playing the piano
beautifully, his joy shines through and
you can’t help but feel it. It is infectious.”
“I agree. Well said!”
August writes, “I believe that the Holy Spirit is the third
person of the Blessed Trinity. I believe he is God, but I
cannot relate much to him. I almost never think of him.
Can you help me?”
“I hope so. The Church says all three persons of God,
have existed from all eternity. The Church adds that
from all eternity the Father and Son (think male AND
female despite the masculine words) have loved each
other perfectly and, from all eternity, the product of their
love is the Holy Spirit. Each member of the Trinity is
perfect. But, perhaps, it will help you to think each
member of the Trinity as follows: The Father created
us. The Son redeemed us. The Holy Spirit brought us
the love and courage we need to be as much as our
humanity allows like our Redeemer.”

My mama always said, “When
you go to someone’s house, make
sure you introduce yourself.” Then,
she would give me the eye. Well, I
am here at your home, your parish
home. I am Ajani Gibson, a
seminarian for the Archdiocese of New Orleans, and I am
from New Orleans! (Born and raised) I started seminary in
August of 2017, and prayerfully, will be ordained in June
of 2021. I am a 2011 graduate of Saint Augustine High
School. I attended The Catholic University of America in
Washington D.C. where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in
Theology in 2015 and a Master of Arts in Liturgical
Studies in 2017. I am overjoyed to be with you this
summer. Thank you for welcoming me into your spiritual
home. Know that each of you will be in my prayers
throughout my time at Visitation of Our Lady.
