Did You Know?
Views From The Pews
Anonymous writes, “I am just fed up. I
may stop coming to Visitation. I keep
telling you the lights are not on in the
parking lot when I arrive for 7 o’clock
mass and you do nothing. What’s wrong with you?”
“The Men’s Club replaced all the light bulbs
inside church last weekend with LED’s. We had re-set
the timer for the lights, but we forgot to re-re-set them
after the new lights were installed. I apologize. We’ll try
again.
By the way, mucho thanks to the Men’s Club.
Its members are Eveready Bunnies. They just keep
doing and doing and doing for our parish.”
We have many, many positive comments about our new
parish Photo Directory. Corrine writes, “Thanks for the
new photo book. It is the nicest we have ever had.”
“On behalf of our Ministry Director, Christie
Bourg, who oversaw the project, you are very welcome.”
On the other hand, we have one complaint. Don writes,
“From all the time it took to take our pictures and the long
wait to get them, I am disappointed in the way they turned
out, nothing like what the actual pictures we took matched
the one in the book.”
“Don, I’m happy with my picture; and even if I
weren’t I’d be pleased because it and the directory are
free. Sorry you don’t like your picture.”
Billie writes, “Where are you? I go to ten and I have not
seen you for weeks. Are you still with us?”
“Yes I am still here. Thankfully so. Father
Daniel and I rotate Mass schedules but sometimes
funerals, weddings and other commitments conflict with
the rotation. When those conflicts occur (as they have
for the past few weeks), the rotation is messed up.”

A national poll says less than 15% of young adult
Catholics between the ages of twenty and thirty attend
Mass on any given Sunday.

In this time of Lent we should always make extra
space for God. We do this most especially by spending
time in prayer. In that vain, I would like to invite each
you to attend Evening Prayer each Friday at 5:30 pm in
the Church. The Deacons and myself will be praying together before mass and invite you to join us to consecrate
the evening to our God.
P.S. Don’t forget about The Miracle Man discussion,
it’s never too late to join.
