The Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ
Hurricane Prayer
Our Father in Heaven,
through
the
powerful
intercession of Our Lady of
Prompt Succor and Saint
Jude, spare us from all harm during this hurricane season,
and protect us and our homes from all disasters of nature.
Our Lady of Prompt Succor and Saint Jude hasten to help
us. We ask this through Christ Our Lord. Amen
MONTH 5 – Developing Baby
Spiritual Adoption Program
Your spiritually adopted baby weighs
over one pound now. His/her mother
can feel his/her movement now. Before he/she was too
small for her to feel. Although he/she swam with ease in his
watery world, he/she needed to be big and strong enough to
kick hard against the outside wall and dent it - - the inside
wall of the uterus has no feeling. We are mid-way through
the pregnancy now. Your prayers have helped your baby’s
mother continue with her pregnancy and seek the help she
needs.
Please Pray
Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you very much. I beg you
to spare the life of the unborn baby that I have spiritually
adopted who is in danger of abortion.
Prayer of Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen
During the nine month Spiritual Adoption campaign, the
development of the pre-born child will be displayed in the
vestibule of the church. Please remember to pray daily for
your Spiritual Adopted Baby and the baby’s mother and father.

touched by addiction to share their personal
experiences with others.
The ministry is open to both those afflicted with or
affected by substance addiction.
SAM provides general educational information about
addiction through professionals in this field and is open to
people of all faiths.
The group does not provide professional diagnosis,
therapy, counseling or treatment, but provides a list of
referrals of local addiction facilities and professionals.

Many of us only know Saint Anthony as that saint who
finds our lost keys and when we forget where we parked the
car in the lot at Costco. There is the old rhyme some may
recite as well, “Tony, Tony, look around, something’s lost
and must be found!” Do you know though, there is a deeper
and more beautiful way to honor and thank Saint Anthony
than just retrieving a lost item? The tradition of Saint
Anthony’s poor box and Saint Anthony’s bread stem for the
1300’s. A woman whose daughter had drowned promised
Saint Anthony her daughter’s weight in wheat if he would
bring her back to life, and that he did! Another woman in
Toulouse, France, begged the saint for a favor. She
promised to donate bread to the poor in return. He
answered her so quickly and wonderfully that her bakery
became a center of devotion to him and a custom arose of
blessing bread and distributing it to the poor on his feast
day, a custom still in practice today! So, next time you are
wandering around a parking lot, asking Saint Anthony to
help you find your car or tearing apart the house looking for
you keys or wallet…remember to thank dear Saint Anthony
by charity to the poor and less fortunate! Saint Anthony,
pray for us!
