The St. Vincent de Paul Society of Visitation of Our Lady Church would like to thank the school children for bringing in so much food at the end of the school year and for helping with the Thanksgiving baskets last year. We gave out 56 baskets along with gift cards for turkeys. Also, the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office donated 50 baskets and fifty turkeys. All together, we gave out a total of 106 baskets for Thanksgiving. We also gave out 100 baskets and turkeys for Christmas. We would also like to thank the Men’s Club, Benny Smith, the Makin Groceries Ministry, everyone that donated money and food and to Christ the King Church SVDP for helping us this summer to keep the food pantry stocked. We appreciate everyone helping out with this wonderful ministry. Bernia Jean Rhodes President
