Did You Know?
Anonymous writes, “We ended the year,
I see, in the red. About 10K. What are
you going to do about it?”
“Wait and pray. If this new
fiscal year doesn’t bring us some black
ink, I’ll do what you would do at home. I’ll make some
cuts.”
Pete writes, “I heard that Pope Francis has a new rule to
punish bishops who don’t turn-in priests who abuse
children. Is that true?”
“Yes, it is true. Pope Francis has created a new
Church law that calls for bishops to be removed from
office if they fail to properly deal with priests who abuse
children.”

A recent national poll says only 8% of Catholics who
were born between 1981 and 1996 (so-called Millenials)
go to Mass at least once a month.

Volunteering for a Mission of Mercy is an incredible
experience you will likely never forget! To accomplish
our goals, we plan to do the following at LaMOM:
•
Provide free access to dental care and prevention of
dental disease while placing a high priority on patients
suffering from dental infections or pain.
•
Raise public awareness of the difficulty low-income
adults and children face in accessing critical dental care.
• Create dental health care advocates via the hundreds of
lay volunteers participating in our event.
Volunteers are needed in all areas, regardless of dental
experience. ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST REGISTER
ONLINE AT www.rsvpbook.com/lamom2016 SO THAT
WE MAY PREPARE FOOD AND SHIRTS (as well as
licensure and liability coverage for doctors and
hygienists). WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ACCEPT
VOLUNTEERS AS WALK-INS.
We appreciate our volunteers! You can choose to work one
half day, one whole day or both days. We will also need help
with setup and take down. Volunteers must be 18 years of age
but DO NOT have to be dental professionals. There are plenty
volunteer opportunities for everyone!
