January 31, 2016 Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time Views From The Pews Several of you have asked about the results of our recent parish survey. Bobbie is one of them. Shee writes, “What are the final results of that survey you had us fill out. Did we get a passing grade (LOL)? “We are still studying the surveys. We should have final results soon. In the meantime I can tell you the parish’s response was very good and the overwhelming majority of you are satisfied with what your parish is doing. I will post the results in the bulletin soon, including criticisms and suggestions for change.” 2 Did You Know? The typical survey yields a response of approximately 3 to 4 percent. Your response to our parish survey was much higher. Father Mike Visit[tion of Our L[^y P[rish C_l_\r[t_s Father Mike Blessing of Throats The blessing of throats will take place after all Masses this weekend and on Wednesday, February 3rd on the Feast of St. Blaise at 7 a.m. & 8:30 a.m. Masses. Lenten Seafood Supper The Men’s Club is sponsoring their Annual Lenten Seafood Supper on Ash Wednesday and on each Friday during Lent. (There will be not be a Seafood Supper on Good Friday). Dine-In or Take-Out from 5-8 p.m. in the VOL cafeteria. Drinks & Desserts also available for purchase. Way of the Cross The Way of the Cross will be celebrated every Friday evening during Lent immediately following the 6 p.m. Mass. This traditional journey to Calvary, using the texts from Holy Scripture, has been a consolation and source of faith and grace to many. The Church grants to those who participate in the Way of the Cross a plenary indulgence.
