January 11, 2015 The Baptism of the Lord 4 MANDATORY Confirmation Seminar THIS Thursday, January 15, 2015 7 p.m. in the Church Registration for the next school year will be held February 23 - February 27 for any new students entering Pre K-3 through 7th grade. An Open House is scheduled for Wednesday, February 4 for Pre K-3, Pre K-4, and Kindergarten parents considering enrollment for next year. Please join us at 6:30pm in the gym for an informational session followed by a tour of the early childhood classrooms. Teachers and administrators will be available to explain the curriculum, policies and procedures. Private tours will be conducted for 1st - 7th grade parents beginning January 20. The Respect Life Committee & Knights of Columbus Sponsor a Bus to the LA Life March in Baton Rouge at LSU Saturday, January 24th The LA Life March South will begin at the outdoor LSU Greek Theatre located on Dairymple Drive and conclude at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. Participants will then march into the Maravich Center and Life March South will merge with “The Response Louisiana” to begin a time of prayer for life. A Hotard bus will leave Visitation at 8 a.m. to go to Baton Rouge on that day and will return to Visitation by 4 p.m. There is no cost to participants. However, there are only 50 seats on the bus. Both parents are invited to attend. However, one parent’s attendance is MANDATORY. Students’ attendance is also MANDATORY. Confirmation Session II Reminder Students in eleventh grade who did not attend the Session I Confirmation Preparation Classes in October must attend the Session II classes. Mike in a Pilgrimage to Spain Msgr. Harry Bugler, Deacon Gerry Martinez and Fr. Mike Kettenring will lead a pilgrimage to Spain July 14th - 25th, 2015, with an optional 4 day extension to July 28th. Barcelona, Manresa, Montserrat, Madrid, Pamplona Azpeita and Burgos are on the primary itinerary. The pilgrimage will focus on Jesuit sites, with Mass every day. However, there also will be lots of time to soak up the rest of the history and culture of Spain. $4,250 per person for double occupancy. Add $486 for single occupancy. Add $730 per person double occupancy and $930 single occupancy for the 4 day extension. Everything is included except lunch. Brochures are located in the literature rack in the vestibule of church. Respect Life & Knights of Columbus Baby Bottle Campaign for Access Pregnancy After all masses NEXT weekend, January 17 and 18th, the Respect Life Committee and Knights of Columbus will be handing out baby bottles as a fundraiser to benefit the Access Pregnancy and Referral Center. “Access” offers many services for unplanned pregnancy such as pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, professional counseling services, and prenatal care. To participate, simply take one baby bottle home per family beginning January 17th and 18th, fill it with a donation of cash or checks written to Access Pregnancy and return your bottle with your donation into the baskets that will be in the vestibule of the Church beginning the first week in February.
