Views From The Pews
Eric writes , “ Did we get new lights ? The altar looks a lot brighter .”
“ Yes , we replaced a couple of dozen or so lights on the altar , half of which were burned out . We replaced the old lights with state of the art LED lights , which will last a lot longer and consume less energy . We took advantage of the missing pews to bring in a lift . There are still lights on the right side of the altar that need to be changed . We will change them when the right front section of pews is removed for restoration , enabling us to get in a lift on that side of our church .”
As I told the people at our 7 p . m . Mass , the new lights are almost all blessing . However , there is a small downside . When TV stations went to High Definition , we could see for the first time the flaws on the news anchors ’ faces . Well , enjoy looking at the flaws on this old priest ’ s face .”
