First Sunday of Lent
2
Did You Know?
Views From The Pews
Anonymous writes, “I was scared going
across the parking lot Sunday evening.
Most of the lights were off. You’d better
take care of that.”
“I have. Because of an Entergy problem, we
were without electricity last Saturday. We reset most the
timers on the lights once the electricity came back on,
but we missed a couple. My apologies!”
Tammi writes, “I couldn’t understand the little sister who
spoke during mass. I bought a rosary from her, but I truly
do not know what the money will be used for.”
“Sister Monica is a nun of ‘Mary Queen of
Heaven Missionaries.’ Her order rescues young girls
from forced prostitution in the Philippines. The good
nuns provide the girls with temporary shelter, food,
maternity care if they are pregnant, medical care and
counseling.”

New Student Registration
2015-2016 School Year
Former Catholics are now the second largest religious
affiliation in America, second only to current Catholics.

As we begin our Lenten journey let us take seriously
the Lord's invitation to prayer, fasting and almsgiving.
Let us look for those things in our life which take up too
much time and space and get rid of them. In this way we
allow that time and space to be used by God. He will
speak to us in the silence and lead us into a deeper
communion with Him. So let us open our hearts and
minds to God this Lent.
May we find healing and peace from all that ails us!
Blessed Lent!
