December 10, 2017 Second Sunday of Advent Views From The Pews 2 Did You Know? We have a bunch of comments about our new Parish App. Here are three. Ann says, “Tell Christie Bourg that she did a very good job in explaining the new app. I look forward to using it.” “I’ll pass on your praise to Christie. She did do a very nice job. Enjoy the App.” Clarence writes, “I have never used an App before but I plan to use this one. I am especially interested in the prayers. I need help in remembering when to pray and I will figure out how to get one of those alerts telling me it is time to pray.” “Good. I hope many follow your example.” Tricia writes, “Wow! It sounds like our App puts us in the 21 st century. I am impressed.” “The App is a wonderful tool. I hope all of our parishioners use it.” Pat says, “I really like your homilies on line, Father Mike. I watch them regularly. Can we put Father Francis’s homilies on line also?” “We certainly can. Both of our weekend homilies will be placed on line and on our App.” We got one vote this past weekend on changing the 5 pm Vigil Mass to 4 pm. Sheila votes “yes”. “Please let me know your thoughts. I’d like to hear from both sides of the issue.” Father Mike Cleaning for Christmas The Altar Society will be cleaning the church on Saturday, December 16th beginning at 8:30 a.m. in preparation for Christmas. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!! Service Hours Available. A Brigham Young University survey says 42.6 million Americans suffer from chronic loneliness. Please pray for them. Father Mike Christmas Flower Memorials Envelopes have been placed in the pews for those wishing to help defray the cost of flowers and decorations for the church this Christmas. Anyone wishing to make a donation of at least $10.00 per name may memorialize a deceased family member or friend. Please print legibly the information on the envelope. The names of all persons in whose memory flowers have been donated will be printed in a special memorial booklet and distributed at all Christmas Masses. These special envelopes may be placed in the collection with your Sunday Offering. Your efforts will not only help beautify the church for the coming of Christ, but will also honor a loved one in a very special way. All envelopes must be turned in by Sunday, Dec. 17th. NO EXCEPTIONS!
