August 21, 2016 Twenty - First Sunday in Ordinary Time Views From The Pews 2 Did You Know? Ellen writes, “I never did catch her name, but the young woman who sang at the end of Mass tonight was wonderful. She has a beautiful voice.” “Her name is Ariel Aguilar. She has been singing with SoulSpirit for several years. Ariel is a recent graduate of Academy of Our Lady High School. She will be attending Ave Maria University near Naples, Florida, where she hopes to get a degree in religion. Ariel is a very talented young woman. She is pretty, intelligent, a gifted pianist, an accomplished singer and faith-filled. We hope she comes to visit when her studies permit. We are going to miss her.” Theresa writes, “I never knew Mass and Communion could forgive our venial sins until I heard you talking about it at Mass. The way you did it today was wonderful. I did what you asked and closed my eyes. I felt God. I really did. It was wonderful. Thank you.” “You’re welcome.” Fr. Mike The Vatican has been taking 10 or so of Rome’s street people to the beach every day. The homeless are provided swimsuits, towels and beach towels to relax on the sand.
