April 8, 2018 Second Sunday of Easter (Divine Mercy Sunday) 4 Not a member? Every year Cajun Fest celebrates its royalty with a Royal Tea. Any student selling 2 full books of raffle tickets is automatically a Maid or Duke on the Cajun Fest Royal Court. These students will be invited to attend this event with their parents and siblings. We will serve refreshments and crown the 2018 Cajun Fest Kings and Queens, and their court, at this event. The event will take place on Thursday, April 19th at 6:30 pm. The courts will consist of Pre-K 2 through 3rd grade in the Little Shrimp Court and 4th grade through 7th grade in the Big Gator Court. The VOL Royal Cajun Court consists of a King, Queen, Dukes and Maids in each of the following groups: Want to become one? Call Mr. Danny @ 957-5848. New members always welcome!! Youth in grades 5 – 7 are invited to attend meetings the second Saturday of each month in the youth room. Meetings start at 6:30 p.m. and end at 8 p.m. Teens in grades 8 – 12 are invited to attend CYO meetings the 4th Saturday of every month in the youth room. Meetings start at 6:30 p.m. and end at 8 p.m. Little Shrimp Court Pre-K-2 through 3rd Grade Big Gator Court 4th Grade through 7th Grade About a week before Cajun Fest, a great number of people come out to help with setup. Most of these people come straight from their regular jobs, before stopping at home for dinner. After working all day, and then coming out to volunteer, they get a little hungry. If you'd like to help us feed them, please call the school at 347-3377. Cajun Fest Calendar Raffle CHICKEN DROP BINGO Guess the " SPOT " the Chicken squats in to make his " DROP " and you could win big! Come watch the Chicken Goooooooo … House Rules Winner need not be present. The winner is determined by where the first “drop” is located. If the chicken “drops” in an out of bounds area, the Chicken Drop Bingo judge will randomly draw one ticket from all entries for the winning square. If the chicken drops on a line, all squares that share that line will split the prize. If the chicken does not drop in 30 minutes, a number will be pulled. The holder of the corresponding square is declared the winner. Squares can be purchased in the Pastoral Center Mon-Fri. 8am-4pm (closed for lunch noon-1pm) Over 30 chances to win with over $6,500 in prizes. Each ticket sells for $10. Tickets can be purchased from any VOL student, in the school office or in the Pastoral Center. Cajun Fest Talent Show – Fri., April 20th @ 7:00 pm Come see our VOL Students with tremendous talent. Doors open at 6:30pm. Tickets for viewers are $5 per person.
