April 5, 2015 Easter Sunday of the Resurrection of the Lord Views From The Pews Ellen writes, “I went to your wedding last week and I loved your homily. If the married couple follows your advice they will be blessed. “Thanks. I try to speak mostly from the heart of Jesus, but I admit there is a lot of Kacky’s heart there as well.” Anonymous writes, “I thought you told us the surplus that we have would be spent on repairs, but we still have the surplus. What gives?” “Our current repair bills far exceed our surplus. So, I am trying hard to be creative about how we solve our problems. I am working hard to try to find parishioners (including members of the Men’s Club) who might be able to do the jobs at lower costs. I’ll let you know just as soon as we get everything worked out. Trust me, though, many more dollars than those we now have in our surplus will be needed.” Fr. Mike 2 Did You Know? A recent national poll says Pope Francis’ approval rating among Catholics has risen to 90%. Fr. Mike It is in this season of Easter that we can most readily remember just how much God loves us. He has allowed His Son to enter into the Passion but more important brought about His Resurrection. No longer does the grave have power over us. We have been given a promise of life after death. So each day we must strive to live in a manner worthy of this promise. Let us not forget the lessons learned in Lent but by bringing them into this season of Joy we continue to grow closer to Christ. A Blessed Easter to you all! May we live in the Joy of the Season! Office Closed The Pastoral Center will be closed Monday, April 6th for the Easter Holidays.
