Easter Sunday of the Resurrection of the Lord
Views From The Pews
Ellen writes, “I went to your wedding last
week and I loved your homily. If the
married couple follows your advice they
will be blessed.
“Thanks. I try to speak mostly
from the heart of Jesus, but I admit there is a lot of
Kacky’s heart there as well.”
Anonymous writes, “I thought you told us the surplus that
we have would be spent on repairs, but we still have the
surplus. What gives?”
“Our current repair bills far exceed our surplus.
So, I am trying hard to be creative about how we solve
our problems. I am working hard to try to find
parishioners (including members of the Men’s Club)
who might be able to do the jobs at lower costs. I’ll let
you know just as soon as we get everything worked out.
Trust me, though, many more dollars than those we now
have in our surplus will be needed.”

rating among Catholics has risen to 90%.

It is in this season of Easter that we can most readily
remember just how much God loves us. He has allowed
His Son to enter into the Passion but more important
brought about His Resurrection. No longer does the grave
have power over us. We have been given a promise of life
after death. So each day we must strive to live in a manner
worthy of this promise. Let us not forget the lessons
learned in Lent but by bringing them into this season of Joy
we continue to grow closer to Christ.
A Blessed Easter to you all!
May we live in the Joy of the Season!

The Pastoral Center is sponsoring the
CHICKEN DROP BINGO
at Cajun Fest on
SUNDAY, APRIL 19, 2015 @ 2 P.M.
Guess the "SPOT" the Chicken squats in
to make his "DROP" and you could
WIN BIG!
The Lucky Person who
"Marks
The Chicken's Spot" will win $500.00!!
Come watch the Chicken Goooooooo …
How it works:
A board marked with random numbers 1-100, on 4x4
squares, will be laid out in an enclosed area. Corresponding
numbers, 1-100 printed on a sign-up sheet will be sold for
twenty dollars ($20) each. Square numbers can only be sold
once.
On April 19th @ 2 pm on VOL Cajun Fest Grounds, a live
chicken will be placed on the board to roam freely, and, usually
without fail, will “drop” in a short period of time. The square/
number that the “drop” lands on is the winner.
House Rules
Winner need not be present.
The winner is determined by where the first “drop” is located.
If the chicken “drops” in an out of bounds area, the Chicken
Drop Bingo judge will randomly draw one ticket from all entries
for the winning square. If the chicken drops on a line, all
squares that share that line will split the prize of $500. If the
chicken does not drop in 30 minutes, a number will be pulled.
The holder of the corresponding square is declared the winner.
Squares can be purchased in the Pastoral Center
Mon-Fri. 8am-4pm (closed for lunch noon-1pm)
ONLY 100 SQUARES WILL BE SOLD!!
