Did You Know?
I have bunches of comments about Cajun
Fest. Laura’s is typical. She writes, “I
am addicted to Cajun Fest. I have been
coming for many, many years and this
one was the best ever. The weather was wonderful. ALL
of the music was great and the food was over the top. I
loved it all.”
“On behalf of Cajun Fest Co-chairs Danny and
Stephanie Laurent and Randy and Martha
Scheuermann, thanks for the praise. As always, Cajun
Fest was the product of well over 100 people, many of
whom worked on it for a full year.”
Ed asks, “Did we set another record at Cajun Fest? The
crowds were really big and I would not be surprised if we
beat last year’s record profit.”
“It’s way too early to say. It appears pre-weekend
revenue from the sale of signs and raffle tickets, while
excellent, may have fallen a tad short of last year’s
records. However, revenue from the weekend itself
appears to have set a new record. In addition, the
Festival chairs worked hard at trying to reduce expenses,
but we won’t have final figures on expenses for perhaps
a few weeks. So, say a prayer or two. Whether we set a
new profit record is still undetermined.
One way or the other, though, Cajun Fest 2017 was
STUPENDOUS!!”
Fr. Mike
Saturday at Cajun Fest 2017 set a record. The
good folks who were with us Saturday spent more
money then ever before.

The members of the VOL Men’s Club recognize the
value and importance of a Catholic high school education
for the alumni of VOL School. The purpose of this
scholarship is to provide scholarship recipients with
assistance for a portion of high school tuition expenses at
Catholic high schools, and to encourage active
participation in service to the Catholic Church, Catholic
schools and charitable causes. The VOL Men’s Club is
based on the principles of service to the Catholic Church,
VOL school, charities and our local community. We
require that our award recipients exhibit the same
characteristics of service as our club.
