Did You Know?
A bunch of you send compliments about
the Blue Mass and dinner we held last
Saturday to honor our First Responders.
Here’s one of them.
Margie writes, “It was all terrific. The
Mass was lovely and the dinner was amazing. We had
enough food for thousands and it was all delicious. Thank
you from the bottom of my heart for putting it on.”
“Thanks for the kind words. They belong to
Christie Bourg, our Ministries Director and to our
Hospitality Ministry. The Mass and dinner were
Christie’s brain child and she, the members of the
Hospitality Ministry and many other did all the hard
work.”
Several of you have compliments for my Blue Mass
homily. Here’s one of them.
Paula says, “Your homily was wonderful.”
“Thank you for the compliment. For those of
you who were not at the Mass, I compared the First
Responders to Jesus for being willing to sacrifice
themselves for others when the personal cost is huge.”

has always seemed to indicate. Catholic women practice
their religion more faithfully than men do.

Confirmation Celebration
On April 7th, Bishop Fernand Cheri
celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation with
over 40 young men and women from our
parish, which included both CCD and Catholic
High School students. A special thank you to
Bishop Cheri, and to Mrs. Beverly Monk and
Mr. Greg Stahel, the Confirmation teachers, for preparing
these young adults for the reception of this sacrament.
