WHAT IS A PIECE THAT YOU HOPE TO COMPLETE AT SOME POINT IN YOUR JOURNEY AND WHY (CAN BE SHORT TERM, LONG TERM, BOTH, ETC.)? I have a lot of really weird personal paintings that I want to do for myself. I want to do a huge 4’x5’ canvas of Patrick Bateman from American Psycho, that one photo where he has blood all over his face. I swear I’m not a psychopath, but I really want a painting of that in my house. I also weirdly want a huge painting of Slappy from Goosebumps “Night of the Living Dummy.” I feel like everyone thinks I’m joking when I say that, but I’m actually serious. Another painting I really want to do one day is a huge mural of an anime scene with myself as the main character. Anyone who comes to my house and sees these paintings is either going to think really crazy or really cool-I guess I’ll find out. WHO IS SOMEONE THAT YOU’VE DEPICTED THAT YOU’VE EITHER HAD OR HAVEN’T MET YET THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO SPEND A FULL DAY WITH, AND WHY? I would probably say Tyler the Creator or Frank Ocean. Tyler seems like an absolute crazy person and I would love to spend a day with that energy. Frank Ocean is a god in my eyes, so I would also love to spend a day with him as well. Also, I don’t know if this counts, but I recently painted Stewie from Family Guy on a bag and I would love to spend a day with Seth MacFarlane as well. IS THERE ANYONE YOU WOULD LIKE TO SHOW LOVE TO FOR HELPING YOU GET TO WHERE YOU ARE? IF NOT, CONGRATS ON BEING WHERE YOU ARE AT! Definitely my parents! My parents were always so supportive of my art from childhood. It’s funny because I always hear stories about people who want to pursue art, but their parents won’t let them. For me, it was kind of the opposite. Me and my mom used to get into fights because she wanted me to go to art school but I didn’t want to go. In retrospect, it was never that I didn’t want to pursue art as a career, it was more that I didn’t believe in myself enough to think that it would be possible. It’s nice to know that my parents believed in me so much from the start. Even now, my parents do so much to help with shipping, picking up prints, moving canvases around my house, etc. I also owe a lot to everyone who supports me! I gained so much attention through twitter and Instagram, and I really owe that to everyone who likes, retweets/reposts my photos.
