June 19, 1959. Today's the day. We are finally going to finish this mission and go back to our families. "It's time to move out boys," commanded the captain. "Okay, Conners you and Joe head up to that ridge overlooking the base and set up the snipers nest, after that, you take position at the bottom part of the ridge and prepare your machine gun." "George, you go with the captain and I into the base to take care of the missiles. Then, we split up and meet at the missile silo so we can end this once and for all." We entered and the captain took out the first set of guards with ease, but when the second set came in, that's another story. "Oh man, they have bazookas and mounted machine guns!" cried George. "Okay Captain, you open fire to distract them, then I grenade 'em, okay?" "Okay," he replied. The captain opens fire; Bang! The grenade explodes and the way is clear. We split up and head in different directions. When we meet back up, we see the missile silo, or silos I should say. "How many missiles you reckon they got in there?" asked George. But before I can answer, we hear the burst of Conners' machine gun, and we notice that an enemy jeep had snuck up on them. As soon as it started, it ended. The jeep exploded and burst into flames. The fire headed towards the missile silos and we all started running for the ridge. The missiles exploded and we all went flying! When I woke up, I was back at base with one broken arm and two broken legs. George and the Captain didn't end up in much better shape. But hey, we did it! The missiles and that base are long gone!
