I love how Roy Eberhardt just thinks Florida will be like every other place his family moves to. He was correct, considering “the bullies in Florida are just like everywhere else”, also known as dumb Dana Matherson. Dana is a huge kid, stupid as can be, and just like other bullies, finds pleasure in beating up little kids. Roy is proven wrong though, when he meets a few unusual characters, like Beatrice Leep. Beatrica Leep is “a tall girl with curly blonde hair and red framed glasses,” but that’s not all of her. She is a bully as well, but if you make friends with her, she will stick by your side through anything. Like all bullies, she is like an onion, you have to peel off the skin to get to the good layers. Napoleon Bridger "Mullet Fingers" Leep. He is more difficult, like an onion too, but like the layers are glued on, and you have to really pry at them to get them off. I would explain more, happily, but you’re going to have to read the book to find out.

In conclusion, I completely and 100% recommend this book for anyone needing a good novel to engage with, but mostly around the age of eleven to twelve. This book is great if you’re a fast reader and finish it in one night, but it is also good if you’re slower, because it makes you want to read and you definitely don’t get bored with the book. Thank you, Carl Hiaasen, for being such a great writer and creating such an amazing book!
