Telling me how strong I am and how good I am at being adaptable to the changes in my body. How golden they are now, blending in and contouring the shape of my legs with their grace. How content I am to see them because they have been with me on my journey to womanhood for so long. And how I didn’ t get a single one during the process of birth with my child. Who would have thunk it? I thought I’ d have many.
So to all the girls who have marks that stretch and marks of other kinds-revel in them.
They’ re your call to glory. Your call to care for yourself in any way, shape or form that you need. It is your journey and it is home.
You’ re not lines that make up the surface of the skin. You are everything that comes with it. And to tell you the truth, nobody really cares. No one who truly cares about you does.
So give up all that hurt and let yourself go.
