Many of you may already know what a Gluten-free Diet is, if not Im going to go into details exactly it is.
A Gluten-free diet is a diet that excludes foods containing gluten. Gluten is a protein complex found in wheat, barely,rye and triticle. A gluten-free diet is the only medically accepted treatment for ceilac disease. Gluten is also the sticky substance they use to make pasta and bread, that holds it together and also sticks to your insides, like your liver and kidneys, which can make you gain weight. A gluten free diet may also exclude oats. Oats may also be contaminated when grown in rotation with wheat when wheat seeds from the previous harvest sprout up the next season in the oat field and are harvested along with oats.
While gluten passes harmlessly through healthy guts, it causes intestional damage in people with autoimmune disorder celiac disease and it causes digestive upset for people who are gluten intolerant.
What are symptoms of celiac disease?
*nutrient deficiencies
*fatigue
*depression
*weight loss
*foggy thinking
Due to multiple symptoms it can often be underdiagnosed or misdiagnosed, as it can easily be confused with irritable bowel syndrome or other conditions. And some people with ceilac do not present any symptoms.
Gluten tolerance is trickier to determine, because standard diagnostic and treatment guidelines don't exist. Typical symptoms include gas, bloating and diarrhea. While gluten intolerance might be temporary and allow for modest gluten ingestion, celiac disease.
Diets deficient in healthy foods, such as whole grains, tend to lack fiber and B vitamins. Nutrient deficiencies can cause symptoms such as headache, dizziness, poor concetration and exhaustion, while preoccupation with food an trigger stress, anxiety and depression. Gluten itself also can literaly make you sick, to the point where you are nauseated and bloated alot along with gas, just a feeling of abdominal pain as well.
Although there is no cure for the celiac disease switching to a gluten free diet as soon as possible is really the only cure.
for those of wishing to lose weight, it is also wise to try this diet and see if it works for you. I, myself am currently on it, and have lost about 40 pounds in about 3 months, along with more fruit and vegetable intake and excercising. So this is something I know about from experience.
