One of the oldest and indeed most iconic fashion houses in the world, ultra-feminine Lanvin is synonymous with jewel tones and spectacular drapery. THE LANVIN STORY Lanvin’s roots reach back as far as 1909, when its founder Jeanne Lanvin marked her start as a couturière by joining the Syndicat de la Couture. Soon afterwards Jeanne began making clothes for the wealthiest women in Europe and the rest is fabulous fashion history. Since 2001 Alber Elbaz has helmed the creative team as Lanvin’s Artistic Director, reinterpreting the house’s signatures for a contemporary context. THIS SEASON AT LANVIN Lanvin’s SS15 collection marked 125 years of the storied Parisian fashion house. And ain’t no party like a Lanvin party. The collection’s party dresses are lavish and lovely, and Alber Elbaz’s super-chic tailoring and monochrome palette has us pining big time. Our summer dreams are made of the black wide-leg trousers and seriously sophisticated bright white blazer. Invest in your own piece of fashion history now. Article by: mytheresa.com 26
