Upon first glance , the Purlava from First Union looks like a very basic , classic pod system , in this day and age possibly something not to get too excited about . However , when you look beneath its minimalist surface you find some interesting and surprising features .
The device is incredibly lightweight , but still manages to feel high quality with a clean , sleek metallic finish that really complements the simple shape design they have gone for with this device .
Down the sides you have two pinhole airflow outlets that , coupled with the shape of the pod ’ s mouthpiece , give you a really nice tight , yet smooth draw - perfect for that MTL fix .
The only advice I would have for the pod itself is that it could possibly do with some stronger magnets to keep it in place , as the ones on the device were slightly lacking .
The battery life on this pod system was another plus in my book , not only do you get rapid charge , but I found that a full charge would happily last me the majority of the day ( even with heavy usage ). For such a small battery , you can ’ t really ask for a better charging experience and battery life . safety certification .
While these statistics may sound impressive , the average consumer ( myself included ) doesn ’ t really care too much about the specifications listed on the back of the box ; they just want to know what it vapes like and if the flavour is good .
While the overall vape experience with the coil and pod system is good , I feel the quality of the juice supplied with this device did not hit the mark . If it had come with pods containing really premium e-liquid I think the whole experience would have been great . The strawberry flavour was my favourite but it just isn ’ t premium enough . Possibly providing refillable pods could be a good option for this device going forward , allowing the consumer to have a decent vape experience with a juice of their choice .
In conclusion , if you are looking for a straightforward , classiclydesigned pod system that will last you the day on a single charge then - with the right e liquid inside - this is a very good option .
