PAUL JOHNSON

Derby
Paul is the owner of Derby vape store Del Boys and has a lot of experience to draw on when it comes to reviews . He said : “ I started vaping to gain experience so I could get my advice right for customers . I ’ m proud that the store is still going strong after eight years . “ When we first started , we were really a smoking cessation sort of shop rather than vaping store . Back then it was low power devices , disposables and stock from Chinese or Italian e-liquid companies . “ There were not many UKbased e-liquid companies around at that time . Certainly no companies like Dinner Lady or Riot Squad . As the vaping industry grew , our shop grew with it .” He said his biggest challenge will be finding an e-liquid flavour that is new to him . “ The problem is that everything has been done so it ’ s going to be interesting to get something completely new and unique . We ’ ve had coffee flavours and Mello Buddha had a green tea with honey e-liquid , so over the years I ’ ve tried a lot of different flavours . I ’ m struggling to find something I haven ’ t tried .” Paul also has experience with designing e-liquids and the science behind it . “ I went over to Capella in New Jersey and spent a week in their laboratories designing a range of flavour profiles for a brand . There is a lot of science that goes on behind the actual flavouring for something like a blueberry . I never understood how someone could like blueberry from one brand but not another but Capella told me they have 17 different blueberry variants which range from fresh , sour or sweet .” “ Probably my favourite e-liquid was Cafe Racer Croissant which was a tobacco flavour . They were very good flavours which I think are still going . I spent many hours driving from Vegas to California vaping that the whole way . It was a really nice e-liquid and probably my favourite of all time .”
