17 VJCL 13 NJCL What is your favorite JCL memory ?
My favorite JCL memory is from 2017 at NJCL in Troy , Alabama . My friends and I , who are mostly teachers and SCLers , sat down to lunch together on the first day . This rarely gets to happen because we are all involved in different things-- graphic arts judging , certamen , state chair duties , etc . There were probably 20 of us squeezed around several tables that we pushed together . My heart was so full of love for these people who were all in the same room at the same time ! We met over the course of decades , and we only get to see once a year , but Latin and JCL brought us together .
