HISTORIAN MARDY KRAMER
Since the Spring Council Meeting in March, which I was unfortunately not able to attend, I have done a couple of things! I have collaborated with other state historians to work on Picture of the Month and our historian t-shirt, among other things. I attended Karuna’s informal VJCL Skype Call that took place on March 24th; it was so great to see everyone. We talked to VJCLers about what we’re planning and what it’s like being an officer, we answered a variety of questions, and we hung out with fellow VJCLers from all over the state. Additionally, I held down the fort at home while the rest of the board attended North Carolina JCL’s State Convention at UNC Chapel Hill over the weekend of April 13-14th. I helped Jocelyn with the filming of the NJCL Promotional Video at State Finals Certamen by encouraging participants to get their state spirit on! While simultaneously taking photos, I score kept at State Certamen Final and helped collect toiletries for Adam’s toiletries drive to benefit the Lamb Center. Another thing I did was sign up for NJCL convention, so you should too! Lastly, I started to work on the VJCL scrapbook.
