MOTHERHOOD
and spontaneous feeling. Either you have it or
you don’t. And that’s exactly why motherhood
should be a choice and not an obligation.
Initially, by its own nature, the relationship
between mother and child is unequal, the latter
needing total support and the former providing
everything. A mother’s love is unconditional,
disinterested, altruistic, and is considered to be
the supreme form of love, and the most sacred
of affective ties. Mothers give it all without
expecting anything in return, but a smile or an
expression of satisfaction, only pursuing their
child’s welfare and happiness. Motherly love is
the extraordinary and incomparable attachment
a woman feels for her child, which motivates her
to care for his physical and moral wellness and
education. Mothers have a natural instinct to
fiercely protect their youngsters which can be
perceived even in animals.
Motherhood affects women in a way that is
as unique as the pattern of curves and ridges
on a fingertip. It is how you stretch your heart
in ways you never thought possible; how you
love through the ups and down, always being
there, no matter what the challenges that life
brings. Motherhood is leading by example
when it comes to teaching right from wrong,
and showing your kids which battles are worth
fighting for.
Motherhood is like the Promised Land, full of
milk and honey: Milk symbolizing the first bond
of infinite love and care, while honey represents
the sweetness of life and the happiness of
simply being alive.
Motherly love is everlasting, from that first tiny
cry. It means being kind, but honest; gentle,
but strong; protective, while promoting
independence. Motherhood is letting your
kids think you are ten feet tall and bulletproof,
so they feel you can keep them safe — even
though there’s stuff out there that scares the
hell out of you. It’s encouraging your kids to
learn new things and to work their butts off in
school, without making them feel stupid. And,
when the time comes, motherhood is letting go
of the reins to see where the kids go on their
own.
Many say that a woman will never know what
it is truly like to love unconditionally, until she
has had children, and we agree. Time and time
again we have heard the statement ``There is no
greater love than that between a mother and
her child”. ViV has no doubts that this is so, and
congratulates all those loving mothers, wishing
them a very HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!!!!
