A gift for the future

By Tim Wood , CEO
After putting it off for a few years , my wife and I finally got round to writing our Will . As well as ensuring all our children would benefit , we included several Christian charities , including Through the Roof .
Did you know that around 85 % of Through the Roof ’ s funding comes from voluntary donations , including gifts in Wills ? We can only do what we do because supporters like you have given generously to the mission … and look what you ’ ve helped to achieve !
Did you know that you can leave as little as 1 % in your

Hats off to Maureen !

Will to a charity , which means that your loved ones and those closest to you will inherit the remaining 99 %? The only information your adviser needs to include us in your Will is our registered charity name ( Through the Roof Charitable Trust ) and number ( 1087788 ). We found it very straightforward !
Every gift in every Will , however large or small , will make a difference . When the time is right for you to remember a charity in your Will , please remember Through the Roof .
Over the last 25 years we have helped thousands of disabled people and their families right across the world to experience God ’ s love through giving freedom , encouraging fellowship and enabling faith – imagine what we can achieve in the next 25 years ! We believe that God multiplies the impact beyond what we know and uses our gifts to change the lives of future generations . Thank you for considering supporting Through the Roof with a gift in your Will .
Thank you to Maureen Groom , who raised an amazing £ 355 for Wheels for the World by selling her homemade hats , scarves , gloves and jewellery at a local craft fair .
Maureen told us , ‘ I made £ 146 on the day of the sale and sold most of the rest of the items at church and to friends and relatives . The final total including donations from friends at church came to £ 355 . I have started making things for this year ’ s craft fair . I did two distributions for Wheels in 2006 and 2010 in Nyeri , Kenya and so I have seen what a difference a wheelchair or mobility aid can make in a country where they are not freely available .’
Thank you , Maureen – all your work will make a massive difference to the lives of people on Wheels distributions , as well as keeping the heads , necks , and hands of people all around you warm !
