THE DISH ON DINING

Whether you want to enjoy a meal at a restaurant or grab the perfect sandwich to go , Baltimore is giving new meaning to outdoor dining , and these ideas will give you a first look at it all .
EAT OUT
Pop-up parklets may have emerged as a result of the pandemic this past summer , but the scrappy parking spaces-turned-al fresco dining areas are likely to stay . Not sure which one to visit ? You can choose from Korean short ribs at SoBo Café in Federal Hill , a blue cheese and bacon burger at Kooper ’ s Tavern in Fell ’ s Point or 24K gold chicken wings at The Civil in Mount Vernon , all while staying safe and comfortable in an open outdoor space .
GRAB & GO
When visiting Charm City , do as the locals do and stop by Red Canoe Café , a women-owned neighborhood institution recognized for its just-pressed paninis and wide selection of renowned cookbooks . Take your meal to neighboring Herring Run Park for a scenic atmosphere , as it offers more than 2 miles of picnic space , walking trails and hiking routes , all alongside a beautiful stream that runs throughout the park .
