Students and teachers of the five schools taking part in the KA2 Erasmus+
Programme ‘HERITAGE AROUND US’ (2018-2019 and 2019-2020) held a meeting in
Teruel (Spain) between 13 th and 17 th May 2019, as agreed in the joint project.
The general objective of the project is for students and teachers to get to know the
cultural heritage of the participating countries (Bulgaria, Poland, Czech Republic and
Spain), carry out relevant activities and be in contact with students and teachers of other
nationalities.
Participating in this project there are two schools from Czech Republic (Zakladni
Skola Lanksroun and Zakladni Skola Hradec Kralove), one school from Poland (Szkola
Podstawowa), one school from Bulgaria (Detska Bratya Grim) and one school from Spain
(Colegio Las Anejas).
The programme is based on four main themes: important buildings of our towns;
music and traditional dress; art and painting; and typical food.
Throughout the school year 2018-2019 many activities have been carried out
(design a logo and a slogan; students learning about the four countries; teachers’ meeting
in Shumen, Bulgaria to plan activities etc).
From 13 th to 17 th of May 2019 students and teachers from the participating schools
met in Teruel (Spain) for five days of joint activities. The main theme, though not the only
one, was traditional food which is the topic coordinated by Las Anejas school. During
school hours the visiting students and teachers went to classes and participated in many
varied activities with Las Anejas students of all ages (from 3 to 11).
For after school hours there were many more activities designed to show our
visitors the town of Teruel and its monuments, and visit places related to the theme of food
(ham factory, cheese factory, catering school etc.). Also there were excursions into the
town and other interesting villages of the province to see their heritage; and a local group
played traditional drums and jota music.
It was an intense week, but with excellent results. These pages are a brief
description of all that was done in those days.
The next school year, the programme continues with more activities and meetings
for teachers in the Czech Republic and Poland.
