oyal Warrants have been issued for centuries to companies or suppliers that
provide goods or services to the Royal Family. The Warrant - which can be
displayed in the form of a crest, or coat of arms - enables the company to advertise
the fact that it supplies to the issuer of the Royal Warrant.
Around 850 companies hold a Royal Warrant. These range from clothing companies to
mustard makers, right through to mobile phone companies. They are spread throughout
Britain, as well as a few companies overseas. If you want to buy a gift for a loved one,
or – let’s face it – for yourself, follow the royal crests above the doors of shops to seek out
