Sitka’s weather can be very unpredictable, and it's not uncommon to see sunshine, clouds, and rain taking turns throughout the day. It’s important to dress for the weather, especially for outdoor Sitka adventures.
Start with a short sleeve shirt, add a sweater or fleece and a light waterproof jacket. Comfortable, weather resistant walking shoes are also a must year-round. If you find, however, you still aren’t prepared for the elements, no need to worry.
