weekend wraps up with SA’s best one
day agricultural show.
Be wowed as more than 100 aircraft
take to the skies for adrenalin-pumping
action, unbelievable aeronautical
acrobatics and spectacular
pyrotechnics.
Attracting crowds of up to 14,000, the
Jamestown Air Spectacular is known
not only for its sensational aviation
displays and carnival atmosphere with
fantastic food and refreshments.
Pilots fly in from all over Australia to
Jamestown for this highly awarded
triennial event, which is regarded as
one of the best air shows in the nation.
Find your fascinator and enter Fashions
on the Field, or wear your boots and
visit the horses – there’s no dress code
here. Jamestown Cup Day is a relaxed
picnic race meeting with strong fields,
total broadcasting, multi-wagering, SKY
racing, plus beer and wine bars.
Select from a range of delicious fresh
country fare or BYO picnic. Enjoy
award-winning local wine. Sit trackside
to be amongst the action or book a
private marquee.
Kick off spring racing season with this
six event race meeting, on the Saturday
of the October long weekend.
Start the day early - you’ll need plenty
of time! See the horses in action,
a young farmer’s challenge, sheep
shearers in action and judging of prize
cattle, sheep, chickens and pigeons.
Enjoy your favourite show treats, local
wines and produce, and browse plants,
clothing, quilting, scrapbooking, cut
flowers, cooking and more.
Enjoy the carnival atmosphere in the
fun-filled side show alley and don’t
miss the fashion parades as well as
colourful childrens’ entertainment.
Whilst you’re visiting, order a DVD of
the event as a souvenir.
After the races head into Jamestown
for an evening meal and entertainment.
Wind down and enjoy light
