IN BALTIMORE , WE ARE WRITING A NEW CHAPTER IN OUR CITY ’ S HISTORY FUELED BY A DIVERSE POPULATION OF CULTURAL ARBITERS , SKILLED TASTEMAKERS AND SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURS . There is so much excitement on the horizon as we see former industrial zones , vacant lots and historical structures undergoing massive renovations , making way for dynamic new developments and innovative adaptive reuse in the housing , entertainment , tech , business and transportation sectors .
This year , we came together as a community and began identifying ways we can help rebuild our tourism industry workforce ( read more on page 48 ). We were honored to host incredible groups promoting diversity , sustainability and innovation , including the Asian American Hotel Owners Association , the Association of Zoos and Aquariums , Alpha Kappa Alpha National Fraternity , the National Head Start Association and many others . As we chart a new path forward for our industry , we look forward to showcasing Baltimore as a place where innovative ideas and ambition are the currency that matters most .
