IN BALTIMORE , RESILIENCE HAS ALWAYS BEEN PART OF OUR IDENTITY . As we collectively put things back into place after a long pandemic pause , we are thrilled to welcome you back to our incredible city . As before , there ’ s still so much to do and see , explore and experience . And we have already flexed our muscles hosting some incredible groups , including Destinations International ’ s Annual Convention in 2021 and the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association ( CIAA ) Men ’ s and Women ’ s Basketball Tournament in early 2022 . The energy and excitement of reconnecting with peers and once again enjoying travel is a welcome return to normalcy .

In this issue , we celebrate all the ways we support one another — and look ahead at the incredible investment happening across Baltimore . Read about how our restaurants have continued to aid their communities and fellow small businesses . Find an outstanding Black-owned venue to rent for your next meeting or celebration and explore creative ideas for incorporating local makers into your event plans . Plus , learn about the in-progress development projects that are popping up around town — all of which have taken care to source input and opinions from residents , preserve the architectural significance of our historic buildings and enhance the scenic beauty of our waterfront and green spaces .
We hope you enjoy your time in Baltimore . We can ’ t wait to welcome you !
